The students of foreign nationalities , wish to the Prime minister Sali Berisha a happy 100 years of independence.
A group of students of foreign nationalities that study in Hëna e Plotë”-BEDËR University had a meeting with the Prime minister of Albania, Mr. Sali Berisha. The group of students accompanied by the directors of the University was composed of students coming from 14 different nations, such as Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Presheva Valley, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Moldavia, Germany, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Indonesia, Mongolia and Russia. They wished to the Prime minister Sali Berisha a happy 100 years of independence and shared with him their impressions of Albania and Tirana.
The Prime minister, Mr. Sali Berisha during his speech expressed that the visit of Hëna e Plotë”-BEDËR University students, with such a diversity of cultures and nationalities, is a very special gift in such an important anniversary of the country. He told the students that one of the most special characteristics of Albanians is hospitality. “ I am very pleased to hear that you have liked Albania and the University where you are studying. What you might notice from Albanians is its hospitality. In Albania there is a saying “ Home is for God and for friends.” If you visit Albania you will notice great traditions that show the importance Albanians give to friends”. He also mentioned the values of tolerance and religious coexistence of the Albanian society, considering it as a precious treasure of this nation.
Meanwhile the Rector of the University, Doc. Ferdinand Gjana, after thanking the Prime minister for the meeting, said that the institution he runs has already created an international profile by approaching high level students from different places of the world. At the end of the meeting, the students gave to the head of the Government symbolic presents representing the culture of their nations.
