Opening the second international conference on language and literature

 

Department of Turkish language and literature organized the second international conference on language and literature entitled "Turkish in the Balkans”. During the conference, researchers and academics from Albania, Turkey, Kosovo, Macedonia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria and other countries of the region have referred on topics that focus on the history and impact of Turkish language in Balkans.

 

The opening ceremony was attended by academics, historians, scholars of language and culture, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Tirana and other guests.The leader of the conference, at the same time head of Turkish language and literature department Dr.Adem Balaban ,in his welcoming speech expressed his gratitude to the participants, and belief that the organization of this conference in Albania is an opportunity for scholars of culture, language and history to share ideas and experiences in  disciplines, traditions and different perspectives. “The aim of this conference is the research in the history of Turkish language usage in Balkans, also in the impact that has had on the literature of these countries”-said Dr.Balaban.

 

In the opening ceremony the Rector of Albanology  Research Center Prof.Dr. Ardian Marashi appraised the organization of the conference and the high participation on the selected topic.
