More similar than different
The students of the Communication Sciences Department in Beder University College, organized the charity concert titled “More similar than different”
On behalf of the world down syndrome day, this concert brought together artists, actors and musicians of the Albanian scene in the premises of Beder. The aim of this activity was to achieve incomes which will be used to help the children of “Down Syndrome Albania” foundation.
From the artists which took part in the students' initiative, we can mention: Mr. Dritan Boriçi, Mrs. Myfarete Laze, Mr. Erlind Zeraliu, Mrs. Elona Zeraliu, Mr. Kristian Koroveshi, Mr. Gjergji Doka, Mrs. Vilma Hodo and the students Elton Cara, Hafsa Desatani and Sefer Vrana.
Scientific conference held on topic: “25 years Drita Islame”
Professors of University College Beder, referred in the scientific conference “25 years Drita Islame” organized by Muslim Community of Albania on the occasion of 25-th anniversary of this magazine.
Held in the premises of “Tirana International Hotel” the conference brought together representatives of religion communities from Albania, Kosovo and the region, academic’s, researcher’s etc. Also we mention here the participation of the President of the Republic of Albania Mr. Bujar Nishani, Mufti of Kosovo Mr. Naim Tërnava, Gostivar mufti, Mr. Shaqir Fetahu, Head of the State Committee on Cults Mrs. Loreta Aliko etc.
In his greeting speech, the president Mr. Bujar Nishani, evaluated the high contribution of this magazine in religious and national education of the generations, from it’s beginning till nowdays.
Education workshop on behalf of the new practices on teaching area
New techniques on teaching area are an important element on progress of the education process. In this context Department of English Language and Literature in University College Beder, helded the regional workshop with about 100 high school and primary school teacher’s from Tirana district.
Representatives of the cooperating institutions such as Mrs. Elena Dimo, representative of Regional Education Directorate of Tirana, and Mr. Oltjon Haka, representative of British Council of Tirana were present during the opening speech of the workshop.
During their greeting speech they highlighted the importance of such training’s in the development of teaching skills to English language teachers. Also they appreciated the participation of all the teachers from Tirana district. In the end they expressed their commitment in organizing other training’s like this one between the institutions.
Head of English Language and Literature Dr. Isa Erbas, after expressing his welcoming speech to the participators, talked about the importance of learning new strategies on teaching the foreign languages and then explain them to the student’s.
“Year by year, changes made in the technology of teaching process, explaining methods and implementation of new ideas, are increasing a lot”-he said.
The speakers' panel consisted of Albanian and foreign professors, as we can mention Mrs. Elida Tabaku, Professor in the state university of Tirana. In her discussion on the role played by English Language and Literature teachers on rising the creativity among students highlighted the most efficient methods of applying it, the importance of English Language in the professional career of the student’s, why we need creative teachers, how can we involve creativity during the lessons etc.
Interfaith symposium held on topic: “The Family in Christian and Muslim tradition”
Department of Islamic Sciences part of University College “Bedwr”, in cooperation with Orthodox Theological Academy in Durrws, and with Catholic Institute in Shkodra organized the next interfaith symposium on thesis: “Family in Christian and Muslim tradition”.
Family as a basic element on society progress, relevant interfaith perspectives on family context, or different issues which talk about essential topics of todays family, as we can mention: childrens education, respect toword parents, continuelsy communication between family members, family care etc, were some of the several topics wich the activity was based.
The guests panel which was moderated from the Head of Islamic Sciences Department in Bedwr, Dr. Genti Kruja, included Atë Mario Imperatori, Director of Catholic Institute in Shkodra, Mr. Thoma Çomëni, Professor in Orthodox Theological Academy in Durrws, and Mr. Elton Karaj, Proffesor in the Islamic Sciences Department in Bedwr.
Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana, Rector of University College Bedwr, after thanking relevent academic staff and students from the three theological schools for participating in this activity, in his greeting words he highlighted the importance of this kind of activities not only in education of new generations in family and society contexts, but also in further interfaith cooperations between institutions in our country.
