Brajan Sukaj, winner at Book Fair 2019, invited to Bedër
The writer and winner of the "Tirana 2019" fair with the novel "Ciklopi" Brajan Sukaj was invited by the Book Club at University College Bedër.
The meeting was opened by pedagogue Agron Tufa, who made a panoramic view of the theme subject, while expressing his appreciation for the writer of the novel.
"Motherly love is the firstborn, sublime and capable of any kind of sacrifice. This sacrifice tells us through the novel, "said Tufa.
Further, the difficulties of the writing process, the dilemmas, and the assumptions of the author were discussed. Sukaj described his novel as a logic of American literature, "Show but do not tell," considering that in the novel things appear even though they are not said.
Mr. Sukaj said that the novel addresses the theme of the difference that is excluded from society. As literature has described as complementary to the story of things that are happening, they have either happened or are likely to occur.
At the end of the meeting, a conversation was held with students who had curiosity on the topic addressed in the novel and writing style.
The risk of cybercrime and the need of specialists in IT, invited Besmir Semanaj
The Department of Computer Science invited today Mr. Besmir Semanaj, technology expert and cybercrime.
During the meeting with the students of University College Bedër, Semanaj spoke about security on the Internet, how we can keep personal information and how to protect ourselves from viruses circulating on the Internet.
The students were also acquainted with the annoyance raised year after year regarding insecurity on the internet, starting from personal data to financial damage to citizens bank accounts, where Mr. Semanaj also showed his work experience at Albtelecom. Since cybercrime is one of the most worrying phenomena in the world, including Albania, in this case, the role of IT professionals who will emerge in the labor market is very important.
At the end of the meeting, students had the opportunity to conduct questions about online safety and their responsibility as technology-intensive researchers.
Edi Oga: Television, something beautiful and spectacular
Communication expert and journalist Edi Oga was invited to University College Bedër, within the MarCom seminar cycle. At a meeting with the students of the Department of Communication Sciences, he spoke about his experience, emphasizing the ways of communication in the television premises.
He further emphasized that television is the best tool to achieve some goals that would benefit the nation, taking the example of Italian television, who cultivated the tastes of the viewers and became a model for Albanian television.
"Television is something beautiful, spectacular, and the main ability to become a part of a television is to be enthusiastic," z. Oga said.
At the end of the meeting, it was important to have the good news for educating and cultivating the tastes of the audience, while encouraging the students to continue on the road to television, conveying positive and valuable messages to the society.
The contest was held: "Let's dance among Albanian folk songs and tunes"
In the framework of the "Ruaj traditën, festo Shqip" campaign, students of the second year of Master in Public Relations project conducted the contest "Dance between Albanian dance and Albanian melodies".
The competition was opened with the dancers of the Trad Folk Ensemble, an ensemble directed by choreographer Bujar Gorenca, participant in many national and international concerts, who brought a collection of dances that crossed Albanian lands from south to north.
The artistic group of the "Isa Boletini" school competed with the dance of Rrajca and the dance of Tropoja. Lindita Kaimi and Ensemble Alba, led by her, brought the dance of Tirana and a dance with North motives.
Gymnasium "Besnik Hidri" brought a little charm to Tropoja, with a dance of this treasure. Among other things, the ensemble "Folk Alb", directed by choreographer Avni Ndreu, had prepared dance from Çamëria to Rugova. The dance contest closed the group "Zumba with Fatilda", a group that adorned the hall by walking through the dance from Tropoja to Çamëria.
At the end of the contest "Let's dance Albanian folk songs and tunes" were awarded several awards, offered by the sponsors of this activity of students of University College Bedër, who were: Cinema Cineplexx, Turistic Agency "Magic M Travel", Studio " Besnik Ramaj Photography "," Infinit Gifts "," Creative Event "," Kamela "," Auto Bebi "," New Media Communications "," Index "," Creative Event ".
Meanwhile, the jury was composed by Genc Kastrati, choreographer of the National Ensemble, Isida Mollaymeri, Ballet of the Opera and Ballet Theater, and Liljana Cingu, dancer of the National Ensemble of National Songs and Dance.
The Second International Conference on Islamic Studies is held
The Department of Islamic Sciences at the University College Bedër held the Second International Conference on Islamic Studies (ISCON) on "The Role of Women in Modern Society in Islamic Perspective". This conference was held in cooperation with the Muslim Community of Albania and with the World Council of Muslim Communities. The conference brought together scholars from different countries of the world, academics, representatives of public institutions and civil society, as well as students.
At the greeting session were present H. Skender Bruçaj, Chairman of the Muslim Community of Albania, Prof. dr. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana, Rector of Bedër University College, Dr. Mohammed Bechari, Secretary General of the World Council of Muslim Communities, and Ms. Loreta Aliko, Chair of the State Committee for Cults.
In his greeting speech, the Chairman of the PCC, Bruçaj, focused on the work and contribution of the institution he represents in raising awareness of society on the importance and vital role of women in the stability and progress of our society.
"In Albania, Muslim women are active in social life in various roles, such as teachers, doctors, engineers, politicians, etc., providing a model and an important contribution to the progress and well-being of our society. But, on the other hand, it is a pity when we see that we are still facing the problem of domestic violence, which is one of the main causes of the high number of divorces in the country. Therefore, let this conference serve as another important contribution to further strengthening the role of women in all spheres of society, "said Mr. Bruçaj during his speech.
The session continued with the greeting speech of Rector of the University College Bedër, Prof. dr. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana, who focused on the historical context of developing the figure of women in our society over the years.
"Looking back and looking at the historical circumstances of the development of the Albanian society, the figure of the woman appears in a constant effort to gain her rights in the family and in the society. Given this I think we all need to contribute, in different forms and ways, to the equality of women in all aspects of social life. I think that the works of this conference, like many other similar platforms developed earlier, will further contribute to the further consolidation of women in all spheres of public and social life of the century in which we live, emphasized Prof. dr. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana.
While Dr. Mohammed Bechari, Secretary General of the World Council of Muslim Communities, as a representative of this community in the proceedings of today's conference, thanked for the cooperation of the Bedër University College and the Muslim Community of Albania for the cooperation in dealing with such a special topic not only for the Albanian society, but also for the global one.
"Today's speakers will shed some light on different themes that affect the social-cultural involvement of Muslim women in the society they live in. Symposium of the Interreligious Academic VII "Mary / Mary, as a symbol of virtue and piety"
The seventh Interfaith Symposium in the academic field is now a tradition of interfaith cooperation between university representatives of the three theological academic schools in Albania, the Department of Islamic Sciences at the Bedër University College, the Orthodox Theological Academy "Resurrection of Christ" Saint Vlash, Durrës and the Catholic Theological Institute at the Inter-Diocese Seminary "Ladies of the Good Council", bringing together leaders, lecturers, students and representatives of the three educational institutions.
Initially, the symposium has greeted, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Rahim Ombashi, Dean of the Faculty of Human Sciences, Bedër, who has linked the figure of Hz. Mary / Mary with our national heritage in the field of culture and literature for the role of woman and wider.
