Program Overview
The Islamic Sciences program offers education for students interested in building their professional careers in both the public and private sectors within Islamic theology. This cycle lasts three years and is designed to provide students with an intellectual horizon by presenting a variety of conceptual and perspective-based insights into the field of Islamic sciences.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Islamic Sciences at “Full Moon” High School (Bedër) is part of the Faculty of Humanities. The Department of Islamic Sciences operates as an educational unit that, based on the universal and unique values of the religion, provides appropriate solutions to the needs of the current era. The program is designed to offer students an intellectual horizon by presenting a diversity of concepts and perspectives in Islamic sciences.
Furthermore, the bachelor’s program in Islamic Sciences provides education for students interested in developing their professional careers in both public and private sectors within Islamic theology.
MISSION
The mission of the Department of Islamic Sciences is to prepare qualified individuals who possess fundamental qualities in Islamic sciences and are able to read and interpret them accurately. These individuals follow the needs and progress of the field closely, are active and ready to collaborate, possess moral and universal ethical values, are integrated into society, and represent their profession in the most suitable manner.
VISION
To assist students in acquiring skills and competencies in reading and evaluating classical and contemporary Islamic science resources. Educate students in such a way that they absorb sufficient knowledge about social and religious aspects and their interconnections with the field of study. Develop their abilities to express themselves in oratory and write about what they have learned. Conduct professional practices.
DURATION OF STUDIES
The Bachelor’s program in Islamic Sciences lasts three academic years, divided into six semesters.

The Bachelor’s program in Islamic Sciences comprises a total of 180 ECTS credits. 1 ECTS = 25 hours.
DEGREE TITLE
Upon completion of the program, the degree awarded is “Bachelor in Islamic Sciences.”
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Graduates of the Department of Islamic Sciences have employment opportunities in various institutions, serving as specialists in their field, which is increasingly significant due to its unique nature, preparing experts in a field that is both specific and integrated with various other study fields.
Graduates may first find employment in all institutions under the Islamic Community of Albania (KMSH), from the Central Headquarters to local offices in cities across Albania, managed by the 35 muftiates of the Republic, as well as in mosques, courses, and cultural centers administered by the respective muftiates.
Another employment opportunity is as a research assistant at Bedër University College, Department of Islamic Sciences.
Graduates from the Department of Islamic Sciences at KUB may also find employment in various institutions, as well as in different foundations and associations, among others.
