    About the Program

    The Master's program in Law, International Law profile, aims primarily to prepare future legal professionals with extensive knowledge in both criminal and international law, to meet the labor market's need for qualified individuals in these respective fields. Given the significant efforts towards integrating Albania into Western structures, the demand for qualified individuals in the job market is considered high.

    Mission

    The mission of the Department of Law is to prepare qualified individuals in the field of law, who can serve public, private, and business institutions, both at the local and international levels. Our philosophy is based on universal values of law, professional ethics, and the development of practical skills, aiming to implement projects that serve individuals and society as a whole.

    Vision

    The program presents students with comprehensive curricula encompassing all necessary knowledge for a thorough academic and professional preparation in the field of law, grounded in professional ethics, to develop critical thinking in students and to make them understand the importance of their role in society.

    Objectives of the Master's Program in Law: International Law Profile

    1. Master the basic concepts of international legal principles and apply them effectively.

    2. Integrate theory, practice, and various policies so that students understand how international law functions.

    3. Familiarize students with the fact that law is only part of the knowledge system and provide opportunities to gain knowledge from various disciplines to adapt to the labor market.

    4. Raise awareness among students to contribute to the community.

    5. Understand and raise awareness about lifelong learning to adapt to the labor market.

    6. Develop cooperation with all institutions involved in the functioning of the national legal system, including both state organs and other legal departments in the country.

    7. Keep up with trends in the field of international jurisprudence science and practice.

    8. Prepare professionals in various fields of international jurisprudence in Albania, the region, and beyond.

    9. Prepare professionals in international and European law.

    Results of the Master's Program in Law: International Law Profile

    Graduates of the second cycle of studies, Master of Science in Law: International Law Profile, will be able to:

    1. Understand the concepts and terminology of international legal fields.

    2. Demonstrate the ability to identify and understand substantive legal concepts, legal theories, and procedures under international law.

    3. Conduct legal scientific research in various areas of international law.

    4. Engage in various legal analyses of international law.

    5. Develop critical thinking in reading and analyzing legal materials.

    6. Demonstrate solid skills in international law principles and the applicability of the law.

    7. Understand the organization and functioning of international organizations and their roles.

    8. Critically analyze important issues and events in international law.

    9. Acquire skills to adapt to the labor market in various fields of international law.

    The study programs offered by the Department of Law are fully aligned with current labor market demands and the anticipated developments of the Albanian economy as a developing economy aiming for integration into the European single market. The contemporary curricula aim to prepare:
